Sayaka YOKOMIZO

Since childhood, Yokomizo has loved stories and creates works rich in narrative elements that inspire the imagination of viewers. Her notable works include a picture-story show featuring her original characters, Pi Yongju and Ore the Third, as well as a series depicting her travels across Japan and the world. For over 20 years, she has been producing picture-story shows, incorporating performances where she uses a variety of voices to bring the stories to life. In recent years, she has focused on themes set abroad, creating vibrant and lively works featuring numerous people and animals. She uses over 100 alcohol-based markers and more than 300 acrylic paint colors to achieve her richly colorful style.
